Uyoulabels.com is designed with you in mind.  Therefore we created
a design studio like no other on the web.  However, with so many
design tools available, we created the design studio help desk to
walk you through all the tools and features available.  Keep this
window open for quick reference. If you have designed in Microsoft
Word before then you will find our studio similar.
After you enter into the design studio you will want to first "Title"
your label.
Adding a Layer - Click on the "add text" button or the "add shape"
button, located on the left hand side of the design studio.
After adding the layer, on the right hand side of the design
studio, the layer will appear. The layers will start with "one"
and continue in sequence. You may do the following with
       the layer(s) functionality.
              a) You may hide the layer by clicking on the "eye". You
may unhide the layer by clicking in the same area.
              b) You may copy, select, and delete the layer. In order
to make changes to the layer, you must always "select"
              the layer.
              c) You may also arrange the layer by bringing the layer
"forward" or sending it "backward" by clicking on the
"up" and "down" arrows on the far right side of the layer.
On the left hand side of the studio you will find the following design
tools starting from the top-left and going across, then down.
Undo/Redo - Allows the user to undo or redo each step in the order
it was made.  There are some exceptions to this rule.  They are
       as follows:
              a)  If you save and exit the studio, the undo/redo will
              reset itself .
              (b) Zoom is not a function that the undo/redo
feature is associated with. Therefore, Zoom will not
              be recognized as a step.
              b) While adding the "shape" and "alignment" features to
your text, undo and redo will at times add a step or
delete a step. This depends on how the system is
reading each click you are entering. If this happens
to get frustrating for you, delete the layer and re-add
              the layer to your label.
Zoom - Once the user clicks on the zoom feature, the cursor will turn
into a plus symbol.  Click on the area you would like to zoom
in on.  The time wait clock will appear.  The area you wanted
to zoom in on will magnify.  You may do one of two things.
              a) You can click on the button located at the top of
the studio "Origional size" and the label will
              return to the original size.
              b) Or, you can click on the label again in the area you
would like to continue to zoom in on and the
label will be magnified again.  You may continue
to zoom in until your needs are met.
              c) By clicking on the "Zoom Out" button, you may also
zoom out. You may continue to zoom out until
the label is the original size.
Move Layer - After creating a layer, you are able to click on the
"Move Layer" button and move your layer to where you wish
it to be located on the label.
Note: Any part of the layer that s not visible in the design
       studio WILL NOT get printed.
Resize Layer -  After adding a layer, you may resize the layer to a
different size.  Click on the "Resize Layer" button and a
slanted double-head arrow will appear.  This arrow will only
resize the layer from "left to right" and "top to bottom" from the
lower right hand corner of the layer.  Make sure you have
the dotted red box around your layer.
Create Vector Object - You may create a rectangle or an ellipse
You may also check the "aspect ratio" box to make the
rectangle a square or the ellipse a circle.  The cursor will
turn into the plus sign again and you can draw your shape.
After you created the shape you may do the following:
              a) You may add a fill, a border, a border thickness, a
              shadow or opacity.
              b) You may also resize and move your shape.
Upload Image -  You may upload an image or add clipart from
       Uyoulabels.com library.
             a) Uploading an image - Please keep in mind there is an
image maximum of 2MB and the image must be in
              JPEG,GIF or PNG format.
Note:  If you should make a mistake and upload an
image greater then 2MB or not the correct format, please
let the design studio acknowledge the mistake.
If you do not let the design studio acknowledge the
mistake you will loose your entire label design.
              b) Adding Clipart - Make sure the "graphics library"
is set at 125%. To save space, the clipart library
graphics are  entered in at a lower DPI (dots per inch).
Some of the graphics are cropped for consistency
of library layout.  Do not let this hinder the selection
of the     graphic. After uploading the graphic onto the
label, the true size and quality will be returned.
After you add an image, you may resize and/or move it.
Create Text - Add the text you want in the box located in the upper
right side of the design studio.  After adding text, you may do
       the following:
Note: after adding each function click on "apply"
              a) You may add a font. Click on the "browse fonts"
button and pick from the wide range of fun fonts.
              b) You may add bold, italic,or underline to your font
               by checking the box.
              c) You may add a shape and color to your text.
              d) You may add an alignment to your text.
Note: "justify" (for shapes) stretchs the text along
              the shape.
              e) You may add "shadow", "gradient", "outlines", and
opacity to your text by checking the box and clicking
on the link. After making your slelection, always
              click "ok" and then "apply".
After adding your text you may "reshape and/or move the layer.
Color Picker - Default Color - The default color picker will return
your text or shape to its original color.
Print - Click on the "print" button and a separate window will appear.
Notice that the wait clock appears and it may take up to 5
minutes to save your label depending on the system it was
created on.  If you do not have a "Title" for your label you will
need to provide one at this time. Click on the print link.
Once at the print window, follow through with the print
       options your system offers.
If your label does not print, Go back into the design studio and
Click on the print button and the print link.  Then do not try
to print the label.  Cancel your systems print and click on the
"file"  drop down window, and "save as".  Save the file to your
desktop as a "Web Archive single file".  Go to your desktop and
right click on the icon.  Go to print and print your label
Save & Preview - To save and preview, you will first need to add
a "Title" to your label if you have not done so. If you have
not set up an account yet, You will also need to set up an account.
At the preview you are presented with one of three options
       they are as follows:
              a) You may save your label and proceed to check out.
              b) You may add a new template to your label.  You
will not loose your text and graphics. Your current
template will be replaced by a template of your choice.
              c) If you do not like your design, then you may go back
into the design studio and make your changes.
Note:  Any graphics or text not showing in the design
              studio will not be printed.
